Best Performace & OC Ram ?

Hi

I am going to buy new memory and i am not sure which one should I buy because I m going to use them with amd64 and nf4 for now and amd dual core in future so i have many choices to buy for performace ram and overclocking it at least to 280mhz and i don't want to hurry when i choose then i get angry from the ram i will bought it :


1 - Kingston HyperX Memory, 1GB (512MB x 2) PC3200 DIMM Kit, Non-ECC, KHX3200ULK2/1G Timing Reference: 2-2-2-5-1 at +2.7V ( the cheapset memory i found at shops ) Can i overclock it to 275mhz ddr550 and save money ?

2 - Corsair 1GB ( 2x512MB ) DDR400(PC3200) Memory, Dual Channel Platinum Edition Model: TWINX1024-3200XLPT

3 - OCZ 1GB (2x512MB) EL DDR400 PC3200 Platinum Rev. 2 Dual Channel Kit, CL 2-2-2-5 (Samsung TCCD or TCC5) (not much different price from hyperx)

4 - Corsair TWINX1024-3200XL 1GB(2x512) Dual Channel DDR400(PC3200) Memory, 2-2-2-5 (Samsung TCCD)

5 - OCZ 1GB EL DDR550(PC-4400) Gold Edition Memory, Dual Channel, CL 2.5-4-4-8

I know that #5 ram is the best for oc but it's timing is higher that the others
so could it be lowest performace than the others

I would still go for number 5. Although it's clocktimes are higher, the raw data speed should help you out there (PC4400). And even without any voltage mods or extra cooling you can tighten those times up in your BIOS.
 
Hey

I would also go for the last option. I think the CAS latency is more impoartant than the other timings. You can push the CORE nicely along with the Memory clock without the need of ratios. It should be able to take the 560 (Although rated at 550).

number 5 is designed to run at high FSB speeds, thos are still pretty good timings. you wont notice the difference anyway.... bandwidth all the way :D

i am not rich guy :D (i will buy the pc4400 ram for 350$) that's the best price in my country so i have another choices and i just want rams that i can overclock amd 3000+ 64bit at least to 2500mhz

Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2 DDR 400MHz 1024MB (PC 3200) CL2

OCZ 1GB DDR400 PC3200, Dual Channel, Enhanced Latency Series, OCZ4001024ELDC-K CL2
and what about OCZ EL DDR400 PC3200 Platinum Rev. 2
and kingstom hyperx pc3200
which is the best ?

i am not professional overclocking and i will upgrade my system to AMD Dual core at future

firstly you say that you are new to overclocking, have you read overclocking 101

You say that you want to overclock to 280 fsb, that should be doable, do you know what core amd64 you have (venice hopefully).

For a high oc like that, and to run your ram in sync the option 5 in your original post is the best way to go. it will easly tke 560, and you will probably be able to tighten up the timings a little

hi

i overclocked before my sempron 2400+ to 2.0ghz stable i try to go to 2.20ghz but i didn't because i have very cheap ram (spectek) pc2700) and i also overclocked athlon 2500+ to 2.40ghz and it was stable for 8 hours at prime95
so i am thinking to buy amd64 3000+ venice i will try to buy amd64 3200 because it's multiplier is 10 so that could help to overclock if i will buy not very strong ram the problem is that i hear ocz el ddt550 rev1 (#5 memory) will not work perfect with amd64 because it was designed for p4 so can you give names of memories start from pc3500 to pc4000 could help me to overclock and also when i will upgrade to amd64 dual core after less than 1 year ??
 
Hi i found this two rams and i think they may be my last choices:

1 - Mushkin Redline XP4000 1GB Dual Kit ( i saw many reviews of this ram and it's the latest product of mushkin co)
2 - OCZ VX PC4000 1GB Dual Kit

need some advices before i buy one of them i want to buy the first choice because it can reach 265mhz at 1.5 CL !!!

yes it will run, but it it will run at the lower speed of pc3200, which is ddr400. Unless you overclock it of course :D

for a jump that big, nobody can tell you

id argue the corsair 4400c25 is better

hahaha those are awesome (although ive only played with the vx personally the redline is the same idea). you'll *need* cooling for the ram though

probly a dumb question, but will the pc 4000 ram (any kind) run on a motherboard that supports pc 3200?
