best processor for my a8n32-sli deluxe

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to upgrade my processor without doing a full motherboard replacement (though I have a sinking feeling that may be necessary). Any idea's about what is the best processor my a8n32-sli deluxe can run? Or any reasonable alternatives?

Not sure what processor you have now but the best you could get would be the athlon 64 x2 4800+. But technically, you need to look at upgrading your motherboard, memory, cpu.

Athlon 64 X2 / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 / Sempron

a lot of these are all discontinued and are hard to find now.
you should really consider a motherboard upgarde. i think thats a better investment than trying to upgrade something thats outdated.

Buying an Athlon 64 x2 4800+ Processor would be a waste of money. You would be dishing out at least $100 for a very obsolete processor.

What is your current power supply? I also included a controller card that would fit old 40-pin Parallel ATA hard drives for the motherboard.
