best shooters for pc?

I just ran across an article about EP2 being delayed until 2007? Meanwhile there's a site here with a trailer found at http://www.hlfallout.net/viewnews.php/8662/

Apparently EP2 will be somewhat larger and have a slightly higher price tag for the retail release scheduled now for february 2007. Fortress 2 is supposedly going to be included according to the article seen at http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/24/hl2-episode-two-delayed-till-2007/

That works! Just make sure you have Apple's Quicktime 7.1 already installed however. Otherwise you get an installer window appearing right at the start of the video. The video there was an interview about the way the game was developed along with a look at Fortress 2. To watch it online scroll down the page at http://moses.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?fs=1&id=2804

The other link posted earlier gives you a look at the Feb. 2007 scheduled release with some clips out of the game itself. Do you think there will be a Episode 3 to follow that up or simply an HL3 somewhere down the line?

I don't know what your saying. No one said it did not work. I simply thought I would be kind and point you toward better quality videos... Much much better quality videos.

I never said it didn't work either. But when going to run the video on EP2 the prompt to install Quicktime popped up. This site gives you longer video clips like the interview at the link there. The other site simply has short promotional clips taken out of the games themselves. Those are commonly seen at most gaming sites and are simply enticers to get you to buy.

gametrailors has the option to view either quicktime or windows media. You simply must choose which one.

This site gives you longer video clips like the interview at the link there.

Ditto! :P. The video that your link lead too is actually on that same page but in much higher resolution. You merely have to check the page.

Anyway I just wanted to point you toward a better source for both that video and many more. Never thought it would turn into such a discussion LOL. If you actually look at that site you'll find that same video in much higher and enjoyable resolutions. In fact it should be on that page I sent you via that link if I believe.

You can simply cancel the installation by clicking on the popup. But I had forgotten to install any Quicktime components on the second drive here. That saw the installer there freeze up a little. Often Windows will need something from QT t run some of Apple's stuff seen at sites.

Well that was more of a quick grab for the promo to give a quick look at the clips from the EP2 addon. If I was pointing towards any lengthy online videos I can readily agree on the need for some high quality playback! I didn't have a chance to go over the site throughly since I bump into the gaming sites quite often. But gee? A lengthy discussion? Hmmm.... :confused: And all this time I thought that was what forums were for. :D
 
Oh gosh! I better watch out or I'll get thrown to the... "zombines" seen in HL2:Episode One? :eek: ! Now watch that will just in time for EP3! :P

Errrr... uh...hmmmm..sure?

As for best shooters has anyone mentioned chrome? It was far from the best but I thought it was good. Got some bad reviews though. Would be rather inexpensive as it is an older game.
 
Both Elite Force and Elite Force 2 were excellent, fast-paced shooters. Kinda like UT, but the hand-held torpedo launcher was just plain awesome!!!
 
Now when you say "best shooters" you also have to include which generation of games you are referring to. Gee? Let's go back a few years to... Duke3D, Wolf3D, the original Quake, Doom, and Haif Life got in there somewhere. Return to CastleWolfenstein and the first Soldier of Fortune followed in the 98-ME generation.
