im in the planning stages of a new rig and i want to run 939 socket, with a 3800+ X2, the asus dual 16x pci express card( m8r-32 or somethin like that) and i want to run two sli videos cards. i dont want to spend more then $200 . give me some suggestions. when i say best i mean, best performance, best features for the money, best cooling, best clock speeds all that stuff. thanks in advance

EDIT: i cant edit the title but concider all cards, ATI included.

let me also add to this and make the question two part.

i am contemplating that instead of buying two say 6600gt's and runnin them sli, to just buy one 7800 and run it alone for now and maybe down the line buy another 7800. i have heard and seen that the 7800 will totally smash the sli 6600's. it would end up being about the same amount of money for the 7800 or the two 6600's. im beginning to think that is a better option.

ok well my question for you is this. im new to the whole sli thing so this may be a dumb question. can any card be run in sli so long as it is pci express? i see alot of cards with the bridge on them. does the card i buy have to be specifically designed for sli or would i use the external adaptor on the DVI ports to run it SLI?

as said above it will need to be SLI compliant

This is because there is a small bridge component that needs to be placed between the two cards so they need to have that port available on the card

I think any pci-express cards 6600 and above can run sli. I believe with the newest driver updates you dont need the bridge anymore.
