Best SSD Drive?

I'm not sure which is the best SSD Drive. I have it down to Kingston HyperX or the Samsun 840 and I'm looking for 120 GB drive for the OS. The more I look the more confused I become. Any advice on the best and fastest SSD Drive?
 
Thats the whole purpose of an SSD. Read and write speed but read is more important then write as far as how quick it boots into windows.

The Vertex 4 was a beast back in its day. I bought one when it was new and it's still an awesome drive today but the Samsung 840 EVO is quite a bit faster.

I recommend the 840 EVO 250GB to everybody. Cheap, big enough and fast. Just buy one! :good:
 
"Best" could depend on what you're looking for.

Generally the best cost/performance is the 840 EVO. If you have more to spend then the 850 Pro looks decent.

Depending on your platform you could get more performance from a SATA Express or M.2 drive which would potentially give you a higher transfer rate beyond the SATA 6 Gbps spec depending on the drive.
