Best SSD?

im looking to buy an SSD drive for my boot drive.
Im considering the Intel X25-M 80Gb.
Judging from reviews its looks like one of the best,
OR IS IT?

the intel is one of the best, they are let down on there write speeds though...

some of the ocz drives come very close to the intel drive but are 60gig, they have higher write speed!

i have the intel and never looked back

I presume its quiet aswell?
ive a WD caviar black and the sound of it annoys me so gonna use it as a data drive

OCZ and Intel seem good choices from what I've read. Just be sure to get the second generation drives for the Intel X25-M, because it supports the TRIM funcion. Also, the OCZ Vertex series support the TRIM function (probably some of the other series as well).

I do believe that only windows 7 uses this TRIM function.

EDIT: SSD don't make any noise. NONE!

good price on it here but no mention of trim

Yup, I think your good :good:. I do believe that the 34nm process is part of the newer X25-Ms

I'd go with the ocz vertex over the X25-M personally.

I have a vertex actually, but haven't got my new computer up and running yet, so I can't really say much about it.
