I might as well spend some money on some good thermal compound to complment my liquid cooling on my new Q6600 build. So what compound has the best heat transfer, I am looking to use newegg or tigerdirect..

Thanks

I don't know exactly how many applications, but I can assure you plenty... I think that 3.5 is enough for around 10 applications, more than you'll need for quite some time.

The best TIM compound?

Coollaboratory Liquid Pro is the BEST out there, although AS5 is famous, simply from word of mouth. But, we are talking about a few degrees lower than AS5 (2 or 3) at full load.

Plus, Liquid Pro is very much electrically conductive (being 100& metal).
It bonds to the heatsink and CPU, so you will have to lap if you want to change the CPU or waterblock.
It reacts with aluminium, so don't use it if the waterblock has a aluminium coating.
