Best Video Card with a Passive Cooler

just wondering what is the best video card with a passive cooler out there. The best one i see is the 7600gs... am i right?

nope, the card kusama linked you to just came out. At one point it was the ASUS 7600gt, but now XFX makes the 7950GT. However, the card will run VERY hot. So if you have a porely ventilated case, you have have some issues.

Also, you can just buy a normal card then buy a passive cooler. That's what i did. And the passive cooler keeps the temps lower than my stock cooler with a fan.

here's the one I use. It comes with a fan, but my card is cool enough to be used passively with. Is it an absolute necesity that it is passively cooled? Because there are some very quiet normal coolers out there.

just curious about how I can make my computer more quiet thats it. thx. btw, if you use a heatsink, can you still see the temperature of your gpu? would the temperature gauge be built into the fan? or the gpu?

Temp sensor is located on the card, not the cooler.

You can run an "external" probe on the surface of the cooler, but that is pointless. Using that method, you are measuring the temperature of the heatsink, and not the card. No one really cares how hot your heatsink it, as long as your card is cool.
