lol that's kinda cheap, throwing a 7900gt onto an agp card and callnig it a 7800gs.

yea that doesnt make any sense because even with the same gpu as the 7900gt that site says its clocked much lower so it shouldn't score anywhere near a 7900gt...
it probably is the best for AGP though. however, he hasnt answered back and we need to know what slot hes using.
if hes using pci-e x16... or dual pci-e x16 then theres definitely something better than that card for him to buy.
one things for sure jurian, you'll need a fairly new high powered psu for this

I want to buy a new videocard but i don't know wich one, wich videocard is the best? I really want the best of the best. Price doesn't really matter
Start with telling us what you'll be doing on your computer. And what type of interface you'll be using (PCI, AGP, PCIe). Also, a higher price doesnt necessarily mean better. :)

On a side note, people seem obsessed with synthetic benchmarking. One would think the interest in tests like the Futuremark family would be taken less seriously after the infamous nVidia/3DMark03 saga a few years back, for those of you who wasnt around, it showed that by using such tests one company could easily cheat & manipulate to make their product appear better than it really is. nVidia used 'driver optimizations' that lowered the image quality making their top FX cards appear to perform much better than what they really did, nVidia got bashed severely for this. Still people is religiously relying on these tests. Comparing the cards in real situations is the only real way to review and compare the different cards and their performance. While theres nothing wrong with testing your hardware with 3D mark to roughly compare it with others, just dont wholeheartedly rely on them to tell you one product is better than the other.

DAMNIT TWEAKER YOU CHANGED YOUR AVATAR!!!

[on topic]yeah, well you definatly need to respond with waht interface you have[/on topic]

Granted that on ebay, the gainward sells for 400, and on newegg, the x850xt sells for 230 (gainward not on newegg). Better to spend the 230 in my opinion, if I am gonna shell out 400 (even of my dad's loot) i'd rather get a new mobo and go PCI-E. But look at what I am working with, in fact, that 5200FX is gonna be gone soon, prolly replaced by the X850XT. :)
