Best wireless adapter?

Right now I have a Netgear MA111 for one of my computers. It works but the problem with it is that every once in a while the internet will stop working. Maybe once a day sometimes twice sometimes maybe not even that often. If you try to right click on the internet icon in the system tray in the lower right corner nothing happens like it's frozen up. You can't get it to do repair or anything to happen. If you unplug the usb adapter and plug it right back in it resets this and it works. Does this sound like a hardware or software issue? Any way to fix this?

I bought a D Link adapter a while back and for some reason it kept losing signal so I took it back. If I need a new adapter what's the best one to get?

My friend had a problem like that. I noticed the driver for the wireless adapter card he was using was dated 2006. I updated the driver, to a 2008 driver and that fixed his problem.

To fix anything with computers always start with the most simple things first. Right click "My Computer". Click Hardware, then device manager. Locate your wireless adapter and see what the driver date is. If it's anywhere after 2007. There will most likely be a driver update for your wireless adapter. Update the driver and see what happens.
