Best wireless n router out now

Hope I am not breaking any rules by making this post. I've been reading reviews for a few hours and am still unsure what type of router I want to buy. I saw some decently priced buffalo routers, the WHR-HP-G300N and WZR-HP-G300NH. The Linksys wireless N and linksys wrt-400n both sound good at this site, http://www.reviewgist.com/best-wireless-routers.

Many of the reviews I read seems a bit outdated and I am leary of buying an older router that is rated well since technology is still new. I will probably buy a matching router from whatever company I go with so it will all be N technology. I am pretty sure I want dual band wireless n format. I think my g network is getting more interference than before and it is time for an upgrade. I do have a fiber optic internet so, I am thinking a gigabit port is necessary for my wired equipment to take advantage of the high speed. I saw some older models with great reviews at newegg and other places but they were a few years old. Can anyone comment on the models I mentioned or suggest some?

I am in the same boat. My present Linksys WRT160Nv3 wireless router leaves a lot to be desired. I really need a dual band router.

Every time I think that I have found the router that will meet my needs, I read a user review that makes me shudder and continue to ponder.

The two routers that I am seriously considering are:

Netgear WNDR3700
Linksys WRT400N

I am still not sure about the Linksys E3000 or the Valet Plus router.

I will check this thread daily in hopes that someone with experience will post about the "best" router out there.

Sorry, I just got back from out of town. I am glad you posted because I was about to buy a 160N off craigs while I was out of town. I will read up on the ones you mentioned in the next day or two and chime in with my thought. I am also hoping someone can give some good input here.

I may get the linksys. I see there are some refurbished for cheaper. I have not really researched them because I have been too poor to buy one.
