better for gaming

opteron 175 or x2 4800. which will be better for gaming like fear and cod2. if theres a better opteron recommend it.
 
Somebody asked a very similar question to yours (was contemplating a 4400 instead of a 4800). Here's the link. Most everybody seems to support the Opteron over the X2.
 
You've made a thread for the same question 3 times. Just deal with it in one thread. In regards to your other question, there is an Opteron 180, but it's only clocked 200Mhz higher, and costs over $250 more. Definitely not worth it IMO.
 
umm yea... personally id go with whatever has more cache... but i overclock so youd probly want to go for higher frequency. (wait a second... they have the same amount of cache dont they. lol...)
 
sorry, i put something in the other thread but no one responded. but no one has answered what would be better for gaming with high end games like fear/cod2?
 
they will both be amazing at it. just get whichevers cheaper, thats what i say. id bet with a good heatsink you could get 2.6 or 2.8ghz with the 4800+
