Better Gaming Computer?

Which one is the better gaming build? I know one is currently unavailable but that doesn't matter, I just want to know which is better. "Better" as in better at gaming and more future-proof. The links are below

Budget?
Go for intel corei7 if you want 'future proof'. Apporx $1300 for the base unit if you self-build.

My budget is around $600. The core i7 is waay too expensive for me to even think about so I just want either of those two items

You'll need to get a graphics card while your at it if you're gettin one of those. Trust me i'm on shared graphics now with 512mb of ddr2 ram cause acer has really weird ram slots...i can't fit normal ddr2 ram in there >_> freaking sucks! after i scrap some bits out of this comp i'm burnin the rest of it! *smiles deviously*

In term of 'future proof', AMD is the better choice. The future AMD CPU with AM3 socket will work on AM2+ Motherboard.

However, if you talking about performance, intel Q6600 is the way to go.
