Better media player

Windows Media Player does not have slow motionfor playing DVDs. Can any of you recomend one that will have slow motion and is either free or cheap? What do you all use? I am using Vista. Thanks in advance to all who help.

+1 I have and still do use VLC for this exact feature of slowing down the play to 0.5 and below its a great program that recognises tons more file formats than what wmp 12 can.
