Better Monitor for games - 1200 or 1080

I am contemplating between the U2410 and the P2411H.
one is a 1080 and the other is 1200.

for games - which one is better?

More is always better. That means 1200 wins. As long as games keep supporting 16:10.

Generally I would go with 1200 unless the 1080 monitor beats it in the other specs. Is the only difference the resolution?

But even if I own a 1980x1200, I can still play on 1980x1080?
I am just curious, as one of you mentioned that the higher the res, the more "juice" needed.

True lower resolution = more fps I have trouble seeing 1200 vs 1080 being the make or break point in most instances.
