I would like to know if it is better to have 4 512s or if it is better to have 2 1 gigs.

If you had 4 x 512s it would split it all up right and so therefor each stick wouldnt have to handle as much and theoretically allow for a much higher max load right?

the 2 sticks of 1 gig would allow for the same amout of memory....yea...i dunno what im really saying.

but is it better to have 4 x 512 or 2 x 1gig

the 2 1gigs, filling up all slots will cause your memory to run in 2t

Having two stiicks would let them run in T1, and 4 sticks would let it run in T2, T1 is faster, and not to mention its betetr in the long run because later you can upgrade to 4GB's.

If you were com, pltly unsure about something, would you radther have one person say somehting, or 3 people say the same thing to confirm it so you know its true and right?

Actually there was 5, but W/e.

2x 1GB would be better performance wise, and would be easier to upgrade in the future than 4x 512MB.
