I play Battlefield 2 on my system (Vista, in my signature) flawlessly. When I installed it, it gave me a warning that the game was "tested only on Windows XP 32 bit," but that's it.

This is a problem with your CD/DVD drive, or maybe your BF2 disk?

i just tried playing the sims 2 deluxe edition... installation went fine, but now it said the same thing to insert the correct CD and restart the application

Try another optical drive... then come back with the results.

Starwarsman - The Demo requires a minimum of a FX5700, although I played it with a FX5200 and it plays great... And yours being a HP doesn't help either.

I notice that your cd/dvd drive is set to A:, i have had bf2 being a bit funny if i say install on my E: drive then put the cd in the F: drive to play, it spits out similar errors to yours. If you installed on say D/E/F then decided to change it to A: try changing it back to its default (or try setting it to the above anyway). Also manually running the autorun from the cd's directory sometimes got me round this. hope this helps. They should set up an entire thread for this game it has so many bugs lol j/k
