BF2 Help

I need some help, I wan't to play BF2 but every time I try to start the game it the screen goes black then the game exits.
(I'll be back in 30 minutes, going to get in the shower)

Well, after I got my new computer it started happening.

Well, I installed it off the disc with no failure, tried to run it then and it crashed. Then I downloaded the latest patch (1.5) and that didn't fix it. So yes it was fully patched.

I installed Win7 64-bit not too long ago and had to reinstall everything. BF2 installed fine. But I installed the 1.41 patch first then the 1.5.

You could give that a try, but if you are i recommend manually uninstalling BF2 first.

I already had it uninstalled. But now I'm re-installing it, I belive it's has to do with my Monitor's resolution/refresh rate.

Weird... It's working just fine straight after the install... Time to go upgrade to 1.5.

I suggest do not go straight to 1.5... unless you have the complete collection and it auto patches up to 1.41 otherwise it won't work (usually, there are two types of patches).

That's exactly what I said, but I guess it's fine now

Exact same thing happened to me once, re-installing did the trick. I think it's pretty much the only "fix" until they figure out the problem and come out with a new patch. Mine's all patched up to v1.5, but that' probably because I have BF2: Complete
