I've had this problem ever-since I bought my 7800GT. I never had it with my ATi X800... Anyway, this is it:
When I'm playing a game (online) everything is smooth. Until about 15 - 20 minutes into it. It's a really strange problem. It just starts acting really botchy and jittery, like your in lag but worse. And then, what puzzles me even more is that this problem exists only on certain parts of the map! I can face one half of the map and everything will be smooth, and then I turn around and I have lost control of my character because it's so botchy (as if it's running at 2 Frames/second).
I'm totally confused about this. I have tried running it at stock speeds, but that hasn't fixed it (if anything, it feels like it's made it worse). I've tried re-seating the card in the PCI-Express slot, checked the bus speed in the BIOS (100 Mhz). The only thing I haven't changed back to stock is my CPU clock-speed. Infact, I'll give that a go now and let you know how I get on...
Please help me, it's really beginning to annoy me.
P.S. This problem isn't evident in other games such as UT2004, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory...
