Bf2 special forces help.

I installed bf2, and the bf2 special forces. Special forces says when I try to play it: Mods/(bf2/shader/lightning).fx not found!

Any ideas?

Patch it to latest, No need to install special forces as with the last patch for bf2 all expansions were free. SO uninstall. Reinstall just BF2. Then download and install all the patches in incremental order.

The latest update doesnt include the expansions packs. It includes the updates for the expansions packs, but not the expansions packs theirself. You have to have them installed first.

Ah, yeh, it doesnt add all expansion packs just armoured fury and euro force. My bad, could have sworn special forces was included as well.

@OP Having a look at patches apparently 1.12 adds better compatibility between bf2 and special forces.

Thanks, but the only patch I have is 1.1 or 1.4, and I can't do downloads. All I want is to play sf. And ef, af, how do I use them? They are installed, but I can't find them.
