BF2142 - CD Key Already Registered?

I installed BF2142 on my laptop, and after logging into my account it says the "CD key has already been registered with an account". I've tried logging in with my 3 different accounts with no luck, and I didn't find an answer on Google.

Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

I feel pretty stupid now, but it was because I registered that key on an account with my old e-mail address, so I didn't even think about trying that. But now it works, lol

I had a problem with CS with a missing Key. I was told by support that people have been known to go into stores and open games to get the keys, then put them back on the shelf. Write it down or put it in their cell phone. So when you buy a game make sure it isnt opened.

Ya, that kinda pisses me off and I've had the mis-pleasure of meeting someone who did and flaunted about it.......

i bought a game from circuit city a while back and noticed the seal was broken when i was in the checkout lane. i didn't think it was a big deal until i got home and found out the key had already been registered... oddly enough, it was also an EA title, and they sent me a new one.

When getting off subject to talk about that, with the way Walmart is setup now, you could easily walk out of their with a TV or something, I haven't before you ask, I wouldn't stoop to that level. So when saying that, it's pretty easy for these to get passed around, even the keys for Windows(on prebuilts) get pulled at Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Depot, etc. I saw a prebuilt PC at Office Depot that had the Windows register key icon in the taskbar(28 days to register) and then saw the key sticker on the side, I didn't take the key, I just laughed at the stupidity of the ppl who set those display models up....

walmart is a joke. the store in atlanta near where i used to live has what im guessing to be 200 cameras, yet its not uncommon to walk down an aisle and see someone ripping into a package. the dressing rooms are never monitored, so someone could easily go in there with a stack of games and slowly go through them one by one removing the EAS security tags and then walk right out the front door. im sure that happens all the time...

Ditto!

At my old middle school, I could get Vista Home Premium offa over 100+ computers, it's just wanting to be copied! There's also like 1000+ Professional SP2 COA's just hanging on the side...

It's just plain wrong where they put it.

lol,
a couple days ago, i noticed those stickers with the serial or what ever on school computers. I was like...hmm...then read the fine print and saw they were windows 98 :(

Has no one heard of a keygen? If your key is stolen, it wasn't necessarily physically stolen.

Yeah but what are the chances of that? Number randomization on someone's part, whether it be the manufacturer or the keygen.... That's like trying to get you to tell me what 2-digit number I am thinking about right now, by saying two digits that gives you a 1:89 chance, highly unlikely... I really don't think that can happen
