Guys,

You think Battlefield 2142 will play fine on my system?

I did try the demo out a long time ago and it played fine but ive heard from my mates that the full version, fully patched up realy does realy eat into the ram.

Ive run System requirements lab and they said my system passed everything in needs of requirements.

So just wondering before i go out and buy.

You can run it, but don't think about running it with anything on high. You'll have to set everything on medium or low...most likely low. It plays smoothly on my system but I have everything on medium since it can get a bit choppy when I have textures set to high.

Yes it will run, but as Yasu said, you wont be able to play on high settings at a high resolution.

Yeah, it'll run fine. Keep your resolution on 1024 x 768, graphics set on low, and you'll be fine. 1.25 GB of RAM is plenty.

Thats great, i always run games at 1024 x 768 anyway...when i played the demo the graphics looked fine on Medium setting Surprisingly

But im not using standard ATI drivers so maybe thats the reason,Because my drivers are optimised.

No Ngo optimised drivers.
There alot better.

well.. easyest way to find out would be, donwload the demo from fileplanet or so, and try it its the same engine as BF2,. so i think it'll run ok-ish

I'm better that the only reason they perform better, is because the setting on graphics quality is set to low Because theres only so much a driver can do.

i personally find the original catalyst drivers work better on my system which is fine because i can get instant driver updates the omega guy tends to slack a little in getting his version out which i can understand (work,school ect..) im just an impatient person anyway
