ok guys u know me from all my BFG rma's well here is the new problem..

1st time i got 2 6800GTS for sli after about 2months they did not work anymore.. both of them where shot...

so newegg gave me 2 new ones..

had them in SLI for about 3 weeks 1st card stoped working.. so i rma that one..

now last night i was turing on my comp.. and in the NV tool menu insted of 6800GT it said gaudro FX 4000 ??!!!???! and i was like WTF?

so i kept it like that and it changed back to 6800GT well 1 hour later my card sparked and it started smoking and it burnt out i mean the back of it has a big BURN mark on it...

is this just my luck or is BFG a crap company somone help me out here...

i have the specs to run it and i am overclocking my CPU and ram "liquid cooling but i doubt that would causs my cards to smoke up..

yea but they will only give me the listed price now wich is 269.00

when i got them they where 369.00

i mean do u know why it would start smoking?

and when i get some money ima get a evaga 7800GTX

Hmmm

Maybe over-voltage in the PCI-Express x16 slot? I would consider the mobo or the PSU as the fault in this situation. The PSU could be faulty giving it extra juice or a surge of some sort, frying it. I really doubt that this many cards would go bust like that.

I have the bfg- 7800gtx sli and im telling you im enjoying this baby. Make sure you have 500 watts minimum for sli. Its either your mobo or your powersupply giving you problems. NOt the CARDS:)

are you still using the same motherboard you had before your water cooling accident? there may be a problem with your motherboard if thats the case

Not only could your mobo be causing a problem, but you have that power connector going right into the GPU, correct? Could there be a problem with your power supply?

I have 2 BFG 7800GTX and they are fantastic they just keep overclocking.

Proberly a bad batch or someting, or something might not be right with your system????.

I would send back and take a loss then mate and buy 7800GTX
