BFG Tech 6800GT Half Life 2 problem

I have a BFG Tech 6800GT and it works great other than the fact when I play Half Life 2 some walls, roofs, boxes, etc. are flourescent purple. Also where ever I shoot, white square appears!!?? I dont want to have to return my video card to get a new one and I installed all the drivers for the video card and I think Half Life 2 is updated with all the patches. If you know a site with all the latest patches, that would be nice.

Sounds like your RAM or cpu or somthing in your pcs getting a little hot.

Really?! That was the last thing I would think of!! (I'm am new to all this computer building and such) I dont think it is my CPU because it is at usually 52 c (about) when I play Half Life 2 how could I cool down my RAM?

ya, it might be overheating, i know that sometimes when i overclock my computer, counterstrikesource, get purple squares and stuff...

From what I've heard GFX "glitches" usually appear when the GFX card is overheating or there is some kind of different problem with it.....

sounds like artifacts from the video card... try to keep it cooler or possibily return it imo...
