big computer problem

i dont think it's the system timer

try each stick on its own. i have a feeling you damaged the ram inserting into the ddr2 ram slot.

Ok, pull one stick out, and try that one stick in each socket, and see what happens, if you get the same results, try the other RAM stick, and do the same.

i tried switching the memory aroun and that didnt work

is your dell still under warranty or try there tec chat

might want to avoid telling them you tried to put ddr2 ram into your ddr slot.

how much would a new motherboard cost for that computer and i want a good one that doesnt cost to much

You'd need a new PSU too cuz the PSU and MOBO are meshed together
