i have windows vista home premium i installed nero 7 ultra downloaded via torrent it worked well in windows xp but now i have vista so when install it some nero_unregisercom error dll error message is there and the installation stops. i cant use nero ne of its features and still it shows nero in my c/program files and the installed programs also i m not able to uninstall it the same error arises coz of this reason i cannot install nero 8 can neone help me
 
With Vista being a newer and the new version of Windows out you will have to manually track down any registry entries as well as looking through the new "users\user name\application data" and other subfolders for traces of 7. Each item found will likely need to be manually removed so that the installer for the updated version will finally work.

Since Vista first came I've been dual booting it with XP since I'm still waiting to locate the newer version for some older programs used. NeoDVD 7 will go right on without problems as well as a few free ones like BurnOn, Deepburner, Starburn, and a few others if you need a problem to use in the meantime.
 
No one said there isn't newer versions for any one software out. The removal tool is a plus there however. Often when updating hardwares like video and sound cards you may have to locate a driver remover in order to see an update go on.
