Computer won't start up... Help!!!

Hi there.
I've just changed the power supply on my Medion 8833 from the original 400W. to a 650W. Corsair TX650W.
At the same time I changed the VGA from the original Geforce 8600GT to a Sapphire Radeon 4830 1 GB.
Now I got the problem, that my computer won't startup, after connecting the power. It starts up in about half a second, then it shutdowns.
So I put in the old power supply (400 W.) and kept the new VGA (Sapphire Radeon 4830 1 GB.) in the computer, and now the computer starts up, the "Intel"-logo appears, and then nothing else happens. It freezes on the "Intel"-logo...

Anybody who's got some ideas about what I can do???
Help is much appreciated...

Thanks, Marc

You may have bumped something else while changing out the PSU and Video Card. Check to be sure that your memory and other cables are plugged in securly.

check for shorts with the frame um make sure everything is correctly pluged in and try the 500W PSU to try and work out what the cause of the problem is

it may just be a faulty PSU

Hey laznz1.
How do I check for shorts with the frame..?
I've tried two PSU's, the new one 650W (didn't work at all) and then the old one 400W. which turns on the computer, but as mentioned earlier, the computer doesn't go further then the "Intel"-logo.

put your old graphics card in and keep the new PSU. If it works your PSU is fine the graphics card is the problem.

If that is the case it could be that it is seated wrong or your bios doesn't work with that video card. Check your bios version which is shown on the black screen on boot up and then check that against the most recent bios version which can be found on your mobo manufacturers site along with a download and instructions on how to update if that is necessary
