ok i live in a generally large neighbourhood, and lots of people here need computers. these would be budget computers, must rival dell, hp and the like, and must include ALL peripherals, with at least a small return of cash towards ME... does anybody know how much this would all be? i am thinking that the computers would be about 400-600$ tops, and they would need power, not 'dual core' power, but stil, power.

Hi Lovely-

I'm sorry, trying to understand your quesiton? Do you have a group of people wanting to sell their computers, or buy one?

depends completely on what u price um I'd say a 20% profit would be avg. unless you bought directly from the manufacturer and bought 10000

yeah, i am looking to build and sell computers for a profit, because there are almost ANY stores around here for computers. (i live in a small town) i want only a small profit, and these computers must be powerful, or at least able to run programs quickly. (video cards are not really required...)

they have to look modern, not like a computer that people would look at and say, (ooh thats so old, and UGLY too!!!)

Oh... okay... you want to sell used computers that looks half-way nice?!?!

I have a friend who does that. I'll have to PM you regarding it, if you are interested?

yes, i was just looking at the cases lol.

what i need from all of you with some exp. is parts list, because if i do it, (already tried,) i would come out way overbudget

well, i would actually like them to look really good, sleek, modern, and fresh to the eyes

EDIT: i was thinking, would it be better to buy a barebones? those are usually very cheap and come with lots of things included in the price

I help run a Photo biz and you really need to keep track of what you invest in. How much do you plan on investing to start with? Investing first and foremost is usually the best option because, you sell and you contract profit to buy newer and better things and offer different services. You can do this until you get into the marketing game a little bit more, you will need some acconting skill. That is mostly what I do at the photo biz, is calculating Income statements, balancing the checkbook, and filing up the bank statements.

I would start out with 2 models of PC's, a regular(no vid card) and a Plus model(decent vid card). Custom work really helps, too. Being able to conform to someone's needs really attracts more customers. When you do some small business networking, you gotta get a feel of their office and see what the needs are.

barebones are nice, just aim for the intel ones =) you should probably ask them what they're gonna use it for and what type of processor they like. OS too =) . personally i like the spire blackfins...
