binary translator

i want to get a program that will translate what i type into binary, or i want to know if there is a way to write a font that will do the same, i'm not apposed to hacking a current font on my computer. any input would be greatly appreciated.

Ok ... now to complicate things... how about arbitrary encoding? (i.e., excess-3, my-homemade-encoding)... kinda seems strange but we do a lot of this stuff when doing circuit design and stuff)

It's easy stuff... Converting to morse code isn't difficult either

Yeah i know and i wrote a program to do that for me but i seem to have lost the source for it ... peachy .... oh well, i guess i get to do a bit of coding

So I'm not alone...
But I won't rewrite that barcode program of mine, because it's pretty difficult... The interesting part in barcodes is that the first digit is coded in the coding type of the other digits (just to make things more complicated).
