Build a computer, everything seems fine then I got a boot disk error. So I went into the Bios and made the first bootable drive CD, the 2nd to Hard drive. It still doesn't read the CD, so I went into bootmode and changed that from floppy to CD drive. Still doesn't work.

My Hard drive is being picked up as a slave drive and wel I am stumped. Please help.

move the jumper on the back of the hdd to master and plug the end of the ide cable into it not the middle plug assuming its a pata drive

Your Jumpers are wrong (plastic fings) if you overlap them on same setting, one will read, other wont
