Hi every bodies
Yesterday, I updated the BIos of my laptop (ASUS N53SV) with the tools easy Flash. At the end , the computer shutdown
And after that, I can't start the computer
I mean, when I push the power button, nothing append, as if the computer was plug of with no battery

So, I though to dissemble the computer, and to put of the BIOS BATTERY

Do you think that this could solve my problem ?

thank you very much, and sorry for my English but it is not my mother tong

You have probably bricked the motherboard now, since it won't start back up. The only way to fix this is to send it in and have asus put a updated bios chip in. FYI, there is no need to update the bios unless you are having issues and the new bios updates will fix said issues. As you can now see what happens with a bad flash.

Thank you for your answer
any way, I will test because it will be quit difficult for me to send the Computer (because I have to send it in France, where I bought it)

I am waiting for a Miracle

One more question,
does open the laptop could break the warranty ?

Yeah it likely will void the warranty.

I flashed the BIOS on an old Foxconn H55 board I had back in February and I had the same problem, the PC would not boot afterwards. What happened was the update failed rendering the board useless.

See if you can send it back to ASUS to have a look at. They may or may not cover failed BIOS updates under warranty.

Why did you update the BIOS?

I update it to have the timer option on it, in order to use my computer as alarm clock:o

How did you solve your problem with your Foxconn H55 board?

How did you solve your problem with your Foxconn H55 board?
I didn't solve it unfortunately. It was going to be very hard if not impossible to get the board to work again so I just sold it on eBay as spares/repairs and I got a couple of quid for it.

I call the after sale services, and they will pick it during the week (as it still under warranty)

I hope it will be take in charge

for the record. do not flash if not related to security or critical. Some time a flash will fix a problem and related to your hardware like external usb. Im saying don't flash if it does not apply to you. Its risky business. Only if you need it.

Another point:
there may be a recovery for the flash and put back to default setting again.
check the site and find out. If your lucky it will work. If not then lights out.
You will likely be charged for a flash. Your choice and wanted it.
Why did you do it?

Have a look on the ASUS website and see if there's something you can download and burn to a CD or a flash drive which will allow you to recover and repair the corrupted BIOS file.

no there is only thing to flash the bios (with windows)

And what about the jumper on the motherboard ? to clear all the settings of the BIOS?

I doubt clearing anything will work if the BIOS update failed and now the BIOS is corrupt. :(

I think you're going to have to send it back to ASUS and possibly pay them to fix it for you. I've no idea how much it may cost.
