I have win xp pro and 4 GB Hard Drive and 3 GB of DDR2

In my bios under power managment of have this setup like this

ACPi Suspend = S3 STR
Resume By PS2 kB S3 = Enabled
Resume By PS2 MS S3 = Enabled
Keyboard Wake = Any Key

Then I save and Exit the bios.

When I am back at desktop I go to start and then Shutdown and pick StandBy

My system turns off and goes into Stand by.

Now my Numlock Key on my Keyboard goes out and the Lite under my Mouse goes out.
And if I move the mouse or click the mouse bottuns or hit a Key on the keyboard nothing happens.

But if I hit the Power Bottun on my Tower the system Wakes Up.

My keyboard and mouse are both PS2

Why can I not use the keyboard and mouse to wake it up?
 
right click my computer -- properties
hardware tab--- device manager
expand mouse right click properties--- power management-- allow this device to bring computer out of standby...

do the same thing for the keyboard.

In Mouse Power Managment it has a Check in Allow this device to bring pc out of Stand By.

Does not work.

When the system goes into Standby the Lite on the mouse goes out.

So I ges there is no powere going to the mouse??
