when i start my computer it goes through the bios fine but at the very end it says "verifying dmi pool......................update success!" it does this whole bit in less than a second and then just pauses for like 5 seconds. is this normal or is something wrong or can i just modify the bios somewhere to get rid of this.

usually it says it when something is wrong with the hardware, the cmos is corrupt and needs to be cleared. but since its a success there is probably no hardware error. make sure the hard disk is on auto-detect in the bios. if that doesnt work you could try clearing the cmos.
