what chipset has your motherboard got and what is the onboard graphics, we need detailed specs to even begin to diagnose.

my chipset is = SiS 741GX

i dont really understand what u mean with onboard graphics , if u mean my graphic card this is it = XGI Volari V3 Family 128 MB v1.13.04.D

Does the problem only occur when you are playing such games? It could be that there is too much stress on the system, several factors I can think of; overheating, incorect bios settings, power. These are some things you may want to check.

If you downloaded the game (such as on a p2p network) then the game will sometimes freeze. That happened when my friend dl's Hitman 2. You would get 10 minutes into the game and it would freeze.

Did you overclock the cpu? might be results of a unstable OC....

what are u talkin about ? ive got 2,1 GHz and for those games im playing i need maximum 1 GHz . i didnt start any other programs.only the game.

and where can i change the BIOS settings?

Wrong installation? Huh? I would check to make sure it's not an overheating problem. If your computer has a program that shows you the CPU/case/Video card temperatures then check that. If it's really only happening in games (don't know about the XP install issues, but...) it's probably a heat isssue. Nothin'll get your comp throwin' off heat faster than a video game (well...excluding heavy video editing, complex animation, and the sort).

Also, try running scandisk and performing a "thorough" scan, just to rule out damaged/bad sectors on the HDD.

soooooo pissed off..... :( i need help from ´The One´ :D

I would have to agree with everyone here...it might be an overheating problem. Just to make sure, I would reinstall windows. SInce you told me that you had some problems installing it, try this:
Look in your manual to find the Clear CMOS jumper...Move the jumper one pin to the left or right (depending on your mobo, just move it the way that you can), wait a few seconds, and move it back. Now start your computer, pres delete to inter the BIOS setup, and set everything the way it should be. Or you can just load the "optimized defaults". Now, press F10 to save and exit, and then reinstall windows. If you could tell us the chipset of your graphics card... You should also reinstall your GFX card drivers.

not shure if its overheating. can you imediately restart the pc? and if you can, how long keeps it running (does it the same when you start the game the second time?)

i dont think its a windows problem (or does it display the "windows has recovered from a serious error" message? )

try to play the games with your case side remover (and a Fan pointed to it if possible.)
so you can see if its a heat problem. (but watch out that nothing blows into the case :) )

Edit: if it doesnt show the serious errror message, dont reinstall windows ;)

eh id think its ur videocard, try setting da settings on the game lower, either than dat im pretty sure dat da game mite b corrupted, if its a iso image, use daemon tools it works better than alcohol for virtual drive

edit: "the one" is here :P

It's the mobo shutting the cpu down, bcause its to hot.
make sur ou have a good airflow in your case, and then try again to play such a game.
(i had exacly the same symtoms with my thundrbird 1333, untill i bought a new cooler)

The ASRock K7S41GX is your motherboard, what video card do you have?

Ok for the record,
1. What PSU do you have? Make and model
2. What are the temperatures and voltages
