BIOS question regarding CPU upgrade

I have an Acer Power FH that has Phoenix BIOS (unknown version) It has a standard P4 CPU and I am in the process of upgrading it to Intel Pentium D 830 3.0ghz 2M/800 socket 775. My puzzlement is this:
Will I need to upgrade or flash the BIOS to get the new CPU to work or will it automatically recognize the new CPU and function normally? I already checked it out with and I know this CPU WILL work with my machine
 
If you've checked with Acer that the new CPU will definitely work with your machine then you should be able to put it in and go - may be worth updating the BIOS beforehand though.

Where can I find a link to update Phoenix BIOS? I've looked around and can't seem to find one
