bios question

I just purchased an x1950 pro 512. So far no problems even with my 430W PS.

But I was messing around in my bios and noticed the agp aperature size was only 256Mb and there is no option to go higher. Anyone know what this does? I noticed this with my 9800 pro 128Mb card I just removed. It used to default back to 64Mb all the time and I would have to change it back to 128. Is this hindering performance at all?

I have an Asus P4P800 Deluxe Mobo.

Someone told me that the aperture size should be one half the card memory? is this correct? if so then sorry for the post!

I'm sure its so your GPU can use your ram as extra graphics memory or so theirs a buffer zone for your graphics card. I once looked up all the optimisations on some sites and 128MB worked out as the fastest for 256MB cards.
