BIOS Setup Freezing

I have an ASUS Striker II Motherboard, whenever i go into BIOS setup, after about 15 seconds it freezes completely, i updated the BIOS with latest version from asus, any other suggestions?

Also, it may be unrelated, i may have to reseat and put more cooling compound on the fan/cpu...after about a few hours of heavy computer usage, the PC shuts down with no warning, guessing thats an overheating issue.

well, i was going to say overheating, but you said that you can run the pc fine...go to asus, see if they can help you, though it may just be that you need to flash the bios.

Maybe replace the BIOS battery can't remeber what its clale now but the big round one in the mobo. But that does sound like overheating-replace the fans etc. Also chek the start up temperature if you can get into BIOS. That might have something to do with it i duno maybe the start up temp is too high? mebbe?

just realized that my setup isnt freezing, its actually my keyboard that stops working, could it just be a driver problem, or something else maybe?
