Bios Setup

I'm having problems getting my pc up and running. Just got all the parts assembled and the motherboards isn't recognising the harddrive or dvd rw, well according to the bios settings anyway. The Bios settings show the IDE as [not detected] yet the windows disc will load from the dvd rw up until the point it has to access the hard drive. I can howver bring up a user window (not sure if this is common to all pc's) and it shows the hard drive connected yet has an error message saying that there are not enough drives available to create a RAID.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

Sounds like you're trying to do a mirror raid with a single drive. Have you tried connecting the HDD to the normal IDE chain? (btw partitioning wont matter cuz the installation allows you to make partitions)
