So its just a questions of why. i was going through BIOS and selecting better Hdd performance and such and i came across the bootup option. so i changed it from fast bootup to slow bootup for compatibilty. and it takes a long time to load up.

so why the 2 options and is the faster bootup bad for your computer. i cant seem to understand the point in it. can some one help. thanks!!!

Sometimes older pcs had a turbo button to make it faster but I think they were more vulnerable to freezes and crashes. Perhaps it's a similar case with your pc. Maybe the slower option is in case you have older hardware.

Ahh turbo buttons i remember those never really changed much on my 2 pc's that had one since they were so old and slow anyway might i ask how a 14 year old even remembers them since i havent seen one in like 6 years lol

to answer the question the 2 options are similar accept one does more things in the background and you can watch it. I have turned mine on and off and its slower too becuase its doing more just putit back the way it was if its to slow for you it really doesnt change much on th actual performance aspect

Slow boot up = do extended memory test = long :) It's used for basic memory troubleshooting

The turbo button on the other hand is totally different.

Thanks

Thanks for that. just trying to learn about me comp and what it can do! just want it to run like a dream, if ever thats possible! thanks guys! :D

NP, while you're building it for the first little bit, leave it on extended/slow boot up as to check the hardwar over and over but once you're done, feel freee to bump it to disabled/fast mode :)
