Well i lot of the kids would recommend you get a c2d. an e6400 with a similar priced mobo should do the trick

if you want to stay with amd though. the A64 x2 5600+ is exact same CPU but with a locked multiplier. Athlon FX's are for enthusists or lazy overclockers. Most would say not worth the $100's more.

Your motherboard looks alright but your video card won't work at all. Its an AGP card. If you want a good card, i suggest get an 8800 gts and it will last a long time.

Something similar to this :

if you don't have the extra $150 then :

Praetor. I know i probally dont know as much as you do about computers but I'm look at my $1300 Rig and i think its beating yours.

Praetor. I know i probally dont know as much as you do about computers but I'm look at my $1300 Rig and i think its beating yours.

Why do you think that? Cause' sorry buddy but his outlined system would completely OWN the one you made up....no offense just telling ya.

Praetor's build has a superior graphics card, more overclockable CPU (which is as good or maybe even better than the 6000+), bigger HDD space, superior optical drive, and a much better PSU. So where is your build better?

Sorry dude, just thought my build was better. My mistake and btw, I am only going to buy an AMD computer. If praetor can show me a better AMD build then i will. Untill then i am sticking with mine. (not saying his build isn't better i just perfer AMD)

Fair enough your prefer AMD, so do I, but I have a Core 2 Duo system, and take it to lan parties and it kills all my mates pcs, and they all have AMD x2's. The core 2 duos are the best processors on the market for the money you pay for them especially the e6600, e6400, e6300 and e4300. That is my opinion. I'm sticking with Intel, because I believe they have the better processor, and it is shown through plenty of benchmarks. You're call though.
