Black and White screen on my TV

Hi all,

I've tried my best to connect my Acer Laptop to both my Sony and Samsung TV's but they both come out in black and white (and what looks like a smaller picture but can't really tell in black and white) !!!

I've looked on the web to try and sort it but can't find a resolution, though it seems a common problem.

Does anyone know why i'm not getting colour and how to resolve it ?

I am using, Scart into the TV, and S Video and Audio into the Acer Laptop.

S-video's retarded, try the composite input. As for resolution, if the TV's are non HD the res will be 640x480. You will be able to get away with 800x600, and even 1024x768, just the text will be near impossible to read.
 
I've had some experience with connecting stuff to tv...and I got the same problem, even after configuring everything in nvidia control panel, (I use component at 1920x1080 if you're wondering). It just wont get out of black and white, however if i use s-video or composite the color shows, but the resolution is obviously 480p
