Black Screen On Monitor - No Signal Reading

Hi,

My monitor is staying on an orange light on the monitor and not coming on, but I took out the graphics card and put it in my spare computer and it works fine.

Any other idea what the problem is?
 
Make sure your cables are connected securely on both ends. When is this happening? I know on my pc if I switch over to play games on my 360 and then plug the vga cable back into my pc I will have to reboot in order to get my screen to initiate.

Oh yea, true. i had to do that also.
 
just when I turn it on. its strange :S

I took all the cables out and put them back in, yet its still saying the same. Take the graphics card out and try it in another and the same thing happens. Put another graphics card in it and it doesnt work either :S
 
thats wierd, that happened to me also. i got a new 9600gt and 4gb of g. skill ddr2 800 and it would work. black screen. tried different ram and graphics cards. finally my psu gave way and died. it was a 400w. im putting hope that when my new psu is here it will work. so if you have a bad psu it may be the problem. or the ram... im not sure
 
I had this problem I had taken out my processor and put it back in because the new one I had didnt fit. Then I developed this problem and it turned out to be that there is a arm that holds the processor down and if its not down all the way it wont work try that.
