I have a question here. My dad works at Boeing and, of course, has a blackberry. We have a house in Moses Lake (eastern Washington), which doesnt have wireless internet, but the blackberry still gets internet service. I can browse the web, even though we do not have internet at the house. Why is this? Does it get the internet anywhere in the US? How? Also, are there other phones/pocket PCs that can do the same thing?

Any cellphone that's GPRS compatable can get wireless internet basically anywhere it can get service. PDA/Smartphone's are the same, and even some laptops.

Assuming you have a SIM card from your cell phone you can pop in there.

Sorry, I sometimes overlook old posts. You MUST have a SIM card from a cell phone with GPRS for this to work. Otherwise it's basically like an unactivated cell phone(well, techincally that's all it is...)
Ah, I see. So basically, you only get that card if you want to transfer that GPRS to a bigger screen instead of your phone. Thanks a lot. Now I just need to find a phone with GPRS, not to mention setting up GPRS with a company (I am guessing you set it up just like cell phone service). And find a way to pay the bill. GPRS is expensive as hell, my dad only uses it because Boeing pays for it.
