I've been planning on buying a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle, but I'm not sure whether or not my Motherboard is compatible.

I've asked around and received different answers from different sources, so I figured I might as well ask it here.

These are my specs: (Motherboard in bold)

AMD Athlon II X4 635 2,90GHz/4000MT-S/2Mb Cache Socket AM3 Box
AMD Stock Cpu Cooler
Aerocool PGS Rs-9 No Psu
Be Quiet System Power 450WATT ATX PSU 24Pin 120mm Fan
Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H AMD 890GX CrossfireX Motherboard ATX
G.Skill Value 4096Mb DDR3/1333 PC10600 CL9-9-9-24
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1000Gb 7200Rpm 32Mb Cache
XFX ATi Radeon HD5770 1024Mb GDDR5 Dual Dvi-I/HDMI/Display Port PCI-E
NEC AD-5240S-B DVD-RW 24X Dual Layer S-ATA BULK
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit NL OEM

Here's the site of the Blackmagic Intensity:

Oh and also, I have 2 USB 3.0 ports, so that should be okay.

Thanks in advance!

This is a what the support page says:

What motherboards can I use with onboard USB 3.0 with Blackmagic USB 3.0 Desktop Video Products?

Intel X58 series motherboards with onboard USB 3.0 support are required to support Blackmagic Design's USB 3.0 video products. The onboard USB 3.0 support of other motherboards, such as the P55 series, cannot be used.

Listed below are motherboards that have been verified for Intensity Shuttle, UltraStudio Pro and Pocket UltraScope:

ASUS P6X58D-Premium
ASUS P6X58D-E
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5
Asus Crosshair IV

Many motherboards have shipped with older firmware and drivers which won't support Blackmagic Design's USB 3.0 products. It is essential to check the firmware and driver versions of your motherboard's USB 3.0 chip by following the procedure in this PDF file.

Now the thing is I've e-mailed Blackmagic Support and they said they simply don't know since they haven't tested my motherboard yet. 200 dollars is a lot of money so I want at least a bit of certainty...

Hmmm to me USB 3.0 is USB 3.0 so I can't help much more and I don't see why it doesn't work, why not try and look and see if anyone else has the same motherboard as you with the shuttle
