Blank display with red rectangle box moving

My friend computer is displaying blank screen with moving red rectangular box after loading screen windows XP. If i press del key to go cmos setup the following error message is display.

"Keyboard in not plugged correctly in this machine".

I checked the keyboard with onother computer's keyboard. But Iam getting the same error.

What error is this.
 
is it a ps2 keyboard or usb... what i would do is try a ps2 keyboard and then go into the bios and turn off halt on keyboard error to get past that

then when you get back to windows try booting into safe mode and see if you can see anything... or try last known good config... XP never truly loads right... you just get the XP splash with the moving bar at the bottom then a red box?
 
Iam using ps2 keyboard. I coudnt go to bios setup. Power supply is going to keyboard when i turn on the computer(Num lock, Caps lock and Scroll lock are blinking when i turn on the computer). Afterthat keyboard is not working.
 
blinking huh... have you tried a usb keyboard... maybe your ps2 port is poop.

does your computer get past the post screen?
 
Blink is one time. I didnt try USB keyboard. If i didnt press any key in keyboard the windows xp load screen is diplay. afterthat iam getting blank screen with red box like the image below.
