blank pc monitor

I accidentally disabled my pc monitor while trying to enable a tv adapter. The windows media center starts well with he logo and stuff but goes black after few seconds.
I can`t see the desktop but the pc is on. I installed xp which runs well but after i switch to the media center the screen turns back black. . While on XP the display properties are highlighted that i can not do any adjustments.
Any clues how to go around it.

See if you can boot into Safe Mode with Media Center and reenable it in device manager, if not just uninstall the monitor and reboot.

LOL happened to me a few times before, all you have to do is go into safe mode like Stragnglehold had said. In safe mode your normal graphics card driver is not loading so it will be fine, in there you can set your settings straight.

nope. The pc just freezes with 'multi (0) disk rd (0) partition (2) windows\sysytem32\drivers\mup.sys' line in the bottom.
