I was down in the basement and came across my high end computer from a "few" years back. 400 mhz pentium II. If i remeber correctly it cost me $1200.00 It doesnt have a hard drive since i recall i removed and smashed it since i was giving it away. So just for the hell of it I orderd an 8 dollar SATA to IDE adapter and will get it up and running again with Windows 98. Ah the good old days....

This was actually second computer...This was a massive upgrade from the 200mhz cyrix based system i had. I remember I got rid of it because it was incompatable with the 16mb Diamond Video card i got for it. And that was top of the line at that time...lol

I have dozens of those at work... I have to reformat and fix 'em up. Mostly the P2s are gone by now though. The work pretty well with xubuntu if you have enough RAM. I use one as a file server too. Ah, old computer stuff.
