So a few days ago I woke up during the middle of the night because my computer had automatically turned on. This used to happen a lot every now and then, it would just boot up on it's own, even with lan ring boot and space bar boot off. So I would just shut it down myself. But then this time when it turned it wasn't fully booted, it was stuck at a black screen with the cursor blinking. So I read about that and what I discovered was it's a USB port or CMOS problem. So I decided to unplug every USB device and to boot it up. Nothing happened. Then I decided to kill the CMOS using the jumper trick. Did that and still nothing happened. Then I decided to do a fresh install of XP, which included deleting my 2 partitions and making them 1 again (120 GB). But then while the process of installing it restarts once when it has copied all of the windows files and folders and when it did I got an error saying "Error loading operation system". So I restarted again then I got the same blinking cursor on a black screen. Yes I have tried to leave the screen like that for a hour but nothing happened! I do not have a floppy drive so I can't update my bios either. The HDD is being detected both by the XP installation and my bios. So what's wrong? Help would be really appreciated and please ask for any more info you require! Thanks a ton!
