blocking porn on the internet

alot of filters block out bad stuff... but alot of filters block out stuff u dont want blocked out... by mistake
the best thing is like a monitor of what is done on the PC... there are programs that run and they will send u an email every 2 weeks or so telling u what sites ur computer has visited...
i can't think of any names, but one of my friends has to have one on his PC and i will get the name of it from him 4 u... i think it is free
also there is something called History... but he would always delete that...

Blocking porn is pretty much impossible because there is so much of it, some always slips though.
MSN should have a content filter of some type, look in tools or options.
Google has a Content filter you can turn on and off.

Ya MSN Explorer does have a filter, but that can be bypassed simply by using Internet Explorer. If you have a router, the best thing to do is install a parental filter on that or block websites and/or keywords. My Belkin router has a parental control feature, but costs money.
So i would go on your Router/Modem and see if you can block websites and/or keywords from there.

What i would do is monitor what hes looking at. and let him look at "soft-core" stuff, but restrict anything "hard-core" or whatever.

Anywho, I would try a program called ChildControl (www.download.com), i use it for our family computer and it has lots of options, you can block certain sites or have it filter out keywords, and you can restrict the time your child can use the computer, and so on.

the reason that this guy is blocking porn is cus it can be addicting and it could send his son down a dark hole that is hard to come back out of and his son wouldn't even admit it...
