But you only care about the game. You could care less how you get to play it, just so long as you have the control of when/whee/how you play it and not someone/something else. Correct?

If you didn't care for halflife 2 so much, you'd say screw it and get another non-steam based game. Or you would find *alternate* ways to get around steam? This isn't a stab at you of course, just the blunt (what i think is) truth.

If you really want to bash on something that "tels you when and when you cant play your game" bash on WoW its always down. BZ 2 used to be down allot also.
 
What I really hate is when you have the game installed and Steam doesn't realize it. Like, randomly, it'll say that CSS inst installed and it has to install it over again. Big pain in the ass.
 
Some just don't read or they just don't understand that "it is not fair for the game creators to take our money then have the right to tell us when we can play"

Omg dont even make me start on steam issues i am a another vicitim of steam being a pain in the @$$ to me. Not only does steam randomly tell me my game is not installed. Offline mode works once in a blue moon.

Its worse with windows xp, you can only activate it so many times.
